Hatha Yoga
Hatha {from Sanskrit words: Ha – sun, and Tha – moon} Yoga {from Sanskrit: Yuj - to join} literally means the joining or integration of opposites. Through the discipline of developing awareness, we realize deeper connections between our body, mind and spirit, and ultimately all that is. The benefits of yoga are many, including stress relief, greater energy, flexibility, and strength. Our HathaYoga class includes guided relaxations, gentle exercises, asana (yoga poses), pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation. Classes are open to all ages and levels of experience. Since our classes are small, we provide adaptations to individual needs.
Kriya Yoga for those who are looking for a daily practice to strengthen and relax the body
Kri – action, ya – awareness.
Babaji”s Kriya Hatha Yoga is the scientific art of mastering the physical body, developed by the great Himalayan master Babaji Nagaraj. He selected 18 postures to cover all of the parts of the body effectively and efficiently. Kriya Yoga contains classical asanas like sun salutation, shoulder stand, fish, cobra, triangle, etc. to prepare the physical body for higher stages of concentration and meditation. Each pose begins and ends by standing in stillness, with a period of deep relaxation (follows each one of them) to allow the body to heal itself. The postures are non-competitive and done in stages, enabling practitioners of all ages to work at their own level of flexibility and comfort.
Regular practice of the 18 postures with the kriyas (repetitive micro-movements), can deeply massage and cleanse the physical body, as well the energy pathways. Kriya Yoga brings strength, emotional stability and mental clarity. It can eliminate stress and poor health from one’s life.

Kundalini Yoga is one of the most powerful and effective form of yoga; is the awakening of the unlimited potential that already exists in each one of us. It incorporates the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of yoga into a dynamic, powerful practice which promotes health, happiness and spiritual awareness.
The ancient system of Kundalini Yoga combines held and moving postures coordinated with strong breathing patterns, sound and meditation to work on every aspect of our being.
Benefits:
- increases the effectiveness of the muscular, glandular, circulatory and nervous system;
- promotes emotional and mental balance;
- helps to eliminate negative habit patterns;
- supports a general sensation of well being and relaxation.
Kundalini Yoga is an antidote to our stressful and sedentary lifestyle, the emphasis is on experience and focus rather than being able to make a pretzel from our bodies. The exercises are vigorous but easy to do or can be modified to fit your specific needs and capabilities. No previous experience necessary in yoga or other disciplines to achieve immediate benefits.
“Kundalini Yoga meets you where you are, and takes you to your potential.”

Slow, Relaxing Yoga to undo stress
Slow Yoga inspired by the teaching of Diane Long (www.dianelongyoga.com) who studied with Vanda Scaravelli for more than twenty years. Slowing down by challenging our restlessness we'll gain balance in our life. In this class we focus on "undoing", rather than "performing". We'll take about 3 or 4 asanas (poses) and consciously release tension to discover a different way of moving into a pose, rather than by use of force or will. Open to All Levels.
